Accountability Court Judge Arshad Malik video scandal case: SC reserves verdict in important case

Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has reserved verdict in Arshad Malik’s video scandal case.
According to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Asif Saeed Khosa, decision will be announced in two to three days.
During the hearing, Chief Justice said that Arshad Malik’s conduct brought shame to all judges. He added that Lahore High Court will assess the conduct of Judge Arshad Malik.
Justice Asif Saeed Khosa further said that judges of such characters can be blackmailed by any person and said that SC will overview the judicial elements itself.
According to the investigation report, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif had stated that Maryam Nawaz informed him about the video of Arshad Malik just few hours before the press conference. He added that he had not seen the video and Maryam Nawaz had informed him that both audio and video were recorded separately.
Maryam Nawaz has maintained that she had not seen the 16 year old objectionable video of Arshad Malik’s which was allegedly made by Mian Tariq.
Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, had accused Arshad Malik of convicting his father in false corruption cases.
