Freezing bank accounts of non filers: FBR clarifies the media report

ISLAMABAD - Federal Bureau of Revenue has clarified that it has not issued any instructions regarding freezing of bank accounts held by non-filers of income tax returns.
In order to allay the misconception being caused by a segment of print media, the FBR clarified that Income Tax Law does not restrict banking transactions out of bank accounts held by any person whether filer or non-filer.
