KP government expedited merger of tribal districts, 25 new police stations made

ISLAMABAD - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has expedited the process of merging tribal districts with the province for better administrative management and rapid development of erstwhile FATA.

According to an official notification by Home and Tribal Affairs department in Peshawar today, fifteen political lock ups in merged districts have been declared as sub jails.

According to detail, in district Khyber three lock ups have been declared as sub jails whereas in tribal districts Kurram, Mohmand, Bajaur, Orakzai, North and South Waziristan two each political lockup have been declared as sub jails.

Similarly, twenty-five police stations will also be established in the tribal areas for improving law and order situation.
