ISLAMABAD - US Assistant Secretary Alice Wells Friday reached Islamabad on an unscheduled visit to Pakistan amid rising tensions with Pakistan.

The secretary is expected to hold discussions on planned travel curbs on Pakistani diplomats in US and the killing of a citizen involving US military attaché Colonel Joseph in Islamabad.

It may be mentioned that Wells trip to Pakistan is unscheduled.

Pakistan and US bilateral ties have been deteriorating since the new year tweet from President Donald Trump alleging Pakistan of fooling US on the war against terrorism.
