Rs 14 billion Ashiana House scheme corruption case: New developments made in Accountability Court

ISLAMABAD – New developments have been made in the Accountability Court over ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s principal secretary Fawad Hassan Fawad case
He has been handed over to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on two days transit remand in Rs 14b Ashiana Housing Scam.
Fawad Hassan was produced before the court. While allowing request of NAB, the court granted two days transit remand of the accused who is also expected to be produced before the Population Control Committee.
On July 6, Fawad Hassan Fawad was handed over to NAB on 14-day physical remand.
NAB had requested an extension in Fawad’s physical remand following the expiration of the earlier physical remand.
Earlier, the anti-graft body had arrested him on July 5, over several corruption charges including contract of Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing Scheme, illegal orders for shifting of nine CNG stations and working in a private bank from 2005-2006 without official permission.
Fawad Hassan had told the court that he did not order to cancel any contract and that his job was just to follow the directions given by the ex-PM.
