ICT POLCOM: Modern initiative for maintaining criminal records

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Islamabad Capital Territory Police Communication System (ICTPOLCOM) has become operational for maintaining the complete record of daily registered crime cases, criminals from the day of their arrest and release and departmental history of all police officials and employees.
The complete data of police stations with effect from January 1, 2016 has been inserted in this system while further record is being updated.

IGP Islamabad Tariq Masood Yasin said this is modern system in policing history of Pakistan and it would have complete data of daily registered crime cases, record of criminals from the day of their arrest and release and departmental history of all police officials and employees.
In this system, the data of each police station is being incorporated on daily basis while IGP Islamabad, DIG, SSP (Operations), Zonal SPs, SDPOs, SHOs and police operators can access this data round the clock even on their smart phones, laptops and personal computers.

This system has complete security features and anyone trying to access it wrongly would be traced through generation of a computerized message.
The IGP Islamabad has directed the relevant authorities to train the officers and acquaint them very well about this modern technique.
He said this system would be very helpful for effective policing and any reported deficiency would be tackled.
A computerized copy of FIR would be issued to the complainant after introduction of this system.
