Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali faces a big setback

ISLAMABAD - Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali faces a big setback as he is ruled out of the upcoming tour of Australia as he is still recovering from a back injury.

The 25-year-old had missed the recent ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka at home for the same injury and may now additionally be dropped from the 16-man squad for the series against Australia.

According to the sources, the doctors has advised Hasan to rest for three more weeks as he has not yet fully recovered to play competitive cricket.

The bowler also missed the ongoing National T20 Cup in Faisalabad, he was keen to play the last two matches of the tournament but after the doctors’ instructions, Hasan returned from Faisalabad without playing a match.

Pakistan will play three T20 matches in the first leg of the series against Australia, starting from November 3.

The squad for the T20 series will be announced next week.
