Trump says Khashoggi is likely dead

US President Donald Trump says the missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi is likely dead and warned Saudi Arabia of dire consequences if proven responsible.
In an interview with the New York Times, Donald Trump based his acknowledgment that Khashoggi was dead on intelligence reports.
Saudi Arabia has strongly denied the allegations saying that it is investigating the disappearance of the journalist, who was critical of Saudi rulers, calling for reforms.
