Strict restrictions imposed in Occupied Kashmir against demonstrations

SRINAGAR - In Occupied Kashmir, the authorities have imposed restrictions in Srinagar on Friday to prevent people from staging demonstrations against the surge in killings by Indian troops.

According to Kashmir Media Service, restrictions are imposed in Nowhatta, Khanyar, Rainawari, M.R.Gunj, Safa Kadal and Maisuma areas of the city. Heavy deployments of Indian Central Reserve Police Force and police personnel have been deployed.

Authorities have also closed schools and colleges to prevent student protests. Classes at the Kashmir University have also been suspended for the day.

The Joint Resistance leaders have urged the religious scholars to highlight the excesses committed by the Indian forces during their sermons.
