Pakistan condemns terrorist attack in Kandahar

Pakistan says it stands with the Afghan government and people and reiterates its support for the Afghan democratic process.
Foreign Office Spokesperson in a statement hoped that the parliamentary elections due to take place in Afghanistan the day after tomorrow would be held peacefully.
He said that strengthening of democracy is key to long term peace and security in Afghanistan.
The Spokesman strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Kandahar in which senior Kandahar security officials were killed and many others injured.
He also expressed the heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives and prayed for swift recovery of the injured.
