SC to give verdict in Imran, Jahangir disqualification cases at once

ISLAMABAD:  The Supreme Court will announce together the decision in disqualification cases of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and party leader Jahangir Tareen, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar said Wednesday.

 

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the disqualification cases of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and party leader Jahangir Tareen.

 

During the proceedings, Sikander Bashir, the counsel of Jahangir Tareen while presenting arguments said that if his client has earned anything through inside trade, it would not loss anyone, while the article 15 and 15b of the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) is regarding regularizing the tax.

 

He said that both article 15 and 15b of the SECP is against the constitution and his client (Jahangir Tareen) these could not be declared culprit under this law.

The CJP asked how much money was spent to but the company’s shares and said the court wanted to know was spent for the shares.

 

Sikander Bashir told the court that it was wrong that Allah Yar and Haji Khan were gardner and chef and said that the they were Tareen’s old employees.

 

The court adjourned the haring until tomorrow.
