FIA to crackdown against anti state social media

ISLAMABAD - Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has directed to implement zero-tolerance policy in eradicating corruption from Federal Investigating Agency.

During his visit to FIA Headquarters in Islamabad on Thursday, the Interior Minister directed to renovate the FIA Academy on modern lines and make it an exemplary institute.

He also directed to involve officials of friendly countries in the trainings of the academy.

Ahsan Iqbal asked the FIA to take effective measures to stop human trafficking as it poses negative impact on the country's image.

He directed the investigating agency to actively play its role in preventing cybercrime.

He added that enemy forces want to spread anarchy in the society by using social media as a tool and directed the authorities to strictly deal with those involved in illegal activities.

The Interior Minister issued directives of providing incentives to well-performing officers.

On the occasion, the Director General FIA, Bashir Memon gave a detailed briefing to the Interior Minister.
