Pakistan - Uzbekistan vow to enhance bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD (APP): Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs (SAPM), Syed Tariq Fatemi held a bilateral meeting with the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan in Tashkent on Monday.

Uzbekistan for joint ventures, investment in Pakistan

Tariq Fatemi is in Uzbekistan to attend the 43rd Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) from 18th to 19th October 2016.

The meeting was held in a cordial environment and wide ranging issues were discussed. Both sides reiterated their desire to further enhance their brotherly relations especially in the field of economics and trade, a foreign office statement issued here said.

Syed Tariq Fatemi appreciated the arrangements of Government of Uzbekistan to host the 43rd Session of OIC, Council of Foreign Ministers.

Separately, the Foreign Minister of Maldives met SAPM on the sidelines of the meeting.

Pakistan Uzbekistan vow to enhance bilateral ties 

The two ministers discussed the bilateral relations and agreed on the need to further strengthen the bilateral relations.

The Maldives's Foreign Minister thanked Pakistan for its support to Maldives during CMAG and at other multilateral forums.
