CJP imposes heavy fine upon Mian Mansha, to be deposited in Diamer Bhasha Dam fund

ISLAMABAD - Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Monday has imposed heavy fine of Rs 100 million on cement factory of well-known business tycoon Mian Mansha.
He has been fined for lying in court and stealing water as SC wrapped up suo moto notice.
The CJP has also directed that the fine amount donated in dams fund. The court has imposed on factory fine amounting to Rs 20 million for lying and Rs 80 million on utilizing the underground water.
A two -member bench of the SC presided over by the Justice Saqib Nisar took up the case filed against cement factories upon extracting water from the soil and Katas Raj in SC Lahore registry for hearing today.
