No ambiguity in new Amnesty Scheme: FBR Chairman

Chairman Federal Bureau of Revenue Shabbar Zaidi has said that business atmosphere should not be affected due to confrontation among politicians.
Addressing the business community at Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry he said atmosphere of fear being created by notices of NAB and FIA is being overcome.
Shabbar Zaidi said FIA has been asked to consult with FBR before taking any action.
Talking to media, Chairman of Federal Board of Revenue Shabbar Zaidi has said there is no ambiguity in the new Amnesty scheme and no change will be made to it.
Chairman FBR said that we need to do long term reforms in the country’s tax and revenue system to bring stability in the economy and bring non tax payers in the tax net.
To a question, Shabbar Zaidi said relief can be provided on some raw materials all raw materials cannot be provided the tax amnesty.
He asked the traders to come up with better suggestions about tax system and he will take up the plausible ones.
Chairman FBR pointed out the issue of smuggling and sell of smuggled goods in markets openly and said these things are also damaging our tax and revenue system.
