PTI government's offer to former PM Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Spokesman to Prime Minister Nadeem Afzal Chan has said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had already offered Nawaz Sharif to get medical treatment from any hospital of the country.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had already directed to provide best medical treatment to Nawaz Sharif and nobody was doing politics on his health, he said talking to a private news channel.

He clarified that only the courts could allow the former prime minister to go abroad for medical treatment but not the incumbent government, adding the government would implement all the decisions of the court.

“We would not make any hindrance in the way of justice and rule of law,” the spokesman said.

Nadeem Afzal Chan urged the opposition to present amendment bills in the law in the parliament instead of wasting time in doing politics on non-issues for political point scoring.

He said the entire system of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was formulated during the tenures of Pervaiz Musharraf and others political parties but in that time nobody had raised fingers over it.

The cases against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari were registered during the last government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), he added.

He said the credit of successfully holding Pakistan Super League (PSL) event went to those who fought for elimination of menace of terrorism from the country.
