Former PCB Chairman reveals reasons for Pakistan defeat in World Cup, has remedies too
LONDON–Former PCB Chairman Najam Sethi reveals reasons for Pakistan defeat in World Cup, has remedies too.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) former chairman Najam Sethi called for a complete investigation of dressing room conditions of national cricket team on Wednesday.
Talking to media, he asked about the need of public relations (PR) managers for all players, coach and captain. He asserted that situation was very different in his time as no coach and captain feared anything.
Criticizing Pakistan skipper Sarfraz, he asserted that Sarfraz has lost his confidence as well as national cricket team has lost all their aggression to pose a challenge to other teams in the field.
While talking about the PCB, he said that Board has been divided by the members, it only runs on threats and intimidation now. Sethi expressed that PCB suffered a lot due to abrupt changes made in the past few months.
“Performing players should get a chance whereas there is a lack of trust present in the team right now”, he added.
Board members should come to London to boost team’s confidence instead of sitting idly in Lahore, he expressed.
