ECP to scrutinize Imran, Abbasi, Gulalai’s nomination papers

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan will scrutinize the nomination papers of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Imran Khan and Ayesha Gulalai for the 2018 general elections on Monday.
They are contesting the elections from NA-53 Islamabad.
However, Khan will not appear before the commission and his lawyer Babar Awan will represent him instead.
Abdul Wahab Baloch of the Pakistan Justice and Democratic Party has challenged Imran Khan’s nomination papers. He will have to answer the questions raised.
The commission will release the final list of candidates, contesting the polls from NA-53, on June 19. APP
