Pakistani Rupee hits highest ever low of Rs 226 against US dollar

The Pakistani rupee shattered all previous records on Tuesday, falling to a new low of 224 against the dollar in afternoon interbank trade, as it approached close. In open market US dollar hits Rs 225-226.
The local currency fell by Rs8.80 in the interbank market after yesterday's close of Rs215.20 *Tresmark* data showed.
The rupee was also trading in the open market at Rs224 against the dollar today.
