Commonwealth Observes group reaffirms support to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Commonwealth Observer Group says its presence in Pakistan affirms the Commonwealth's support to the country and its democratic processes.
Speaking on his arrival in Islamabad today, the observer group's head General Abdulsalami A. Abubakar said they will perform their role with impartiality, independence and transparency during elections in Pakistan.
He expressed the hope that all stakeholders will play their part in ensuring peaceful and credible elections.
The Commonwealth Observer Group called upon citizens, particularly women and youth, to participate in the election.
