Al-Azizia Reference against Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Counsel for Nawaz Sharif informed the Accountability Court that the defense team will not become part of Al-Azizia Reference proceedings until the decision is announced on moving the Trial to another Judge.
NAB Judge Mohammad Bashir conducted the proceedings in Islamabad.
The Judge said he has already written a letter to Islamabad High for Transfer of remaining two References to another Judge.
He said it is not his prerogative to decide Whether he wants to sit in as judge in remaining NAB References.
NAB Prosecutor said there is no bar on Judge Mohammad Bashir on sitting as a Judge in Al-Azizia and Flagship References.
On the issue of conducting further Trial inside the Prison, Khawaja Haris said the Court should have taken all parties into Confidence before deciding on the matter.
Judge Mohammad Bashir admitted there are several issues involved in conducting trial inside Prison.
NAB Prosecutor said Proceedings can be held inside prison where Defense Lawyers and Media would be present.
The COURT adjourned the hearing till 30th July.
