ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Foreign Office has once again raised the objections with the Indian deputy high commissioner in Islamabad over the issue of the cross border fire.
The Foreign Office on Wednesday summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner to protest against Indian violations of the Line of Control.
The Director General (SA & SAARC) Dr Mohammad Faisal handed over a letter of protest to Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh.
Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing on Sunday and targeted a Pakistan Army vehicle across the Line of Control (LoC), according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Indian forces fired on the vehicle at Athmaqam area across the LoC, the ISPR said in a statement, in fresh violation of the ceasefire agreement between the two countries.
As a consequence, four soldiers were martyred after the vehicle plunged into Neelum River.
