Government Minister voices against unnecessary criticism on CPEC

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Parliamentary Secretary for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Khalil George said on Tuesday that Balochistan province would be benefitted most from China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) while setting up of economic zones and declaring Gwadar a free port would promote economic and trade activities in the province.

Instead of hurling unnecessary criticism and statement on the development projects including CPEC initiated under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the entire nation should play it individual and collective role for the prosperity and development of the country.

Talking to journalists in Quetta, he said, CPEC was a massive project which would benefit the people and traders of entire country including Balochistan province.

The government was determined to timely complete energy and other infrastructure projects under the CPEC initiative.

He expressed the confidence that Balochistan would play a pivotal role in the country's economy in future.

He called for setting up Balochistan Board of Investment to fully realize benefits of the CPEC and encourage the private sector investment in the province.
