Govt to complete its tenure & general elections will be held on time: PM

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has expressed the confidence that the government will complete its tenure and general elections will be held on time.
In an interview with a private channel, he said the Senate elections will also be held according to the schedule.
To a question, he said that Senate elections cannot be postponed even if provincial assembly of any province is dissolved. He said the Senate elections will only be postponed in a province where a provincial assembly is dissolved but polls for the upper house will be held in other provinces.
The Prime Minister urged PTI and PPP to concentrate on next general elections as political instability will not serve any party.
The Prime Minister said some elements have nefarious designs to destabilize Pakistan but they will not succeed in their mission.
