Pakistan Railways to install modern computerized inter-locking system

MULTAN: (APP) After instalation of computerized signal system, the Pakistan Railways will soon plant computer-based interlocking system equipped with detectors and sensors to ensure more safe journey.
This was informed by PR Multan Divisional Superintendent Zafrullah Kalwar while talking to APP on Thursday.
He said this system would be able to detect all kind of hazards on the rail track from one and half kilometer distance.
He said the project was underway and hopefully would become operational in next couple of month.
Expressing his grief over killing of innocent children in train crash incident in Lodhran about two week ago, he said people must observe road safety rules before crossing railways tracks like any civilized nation in the world.
