Indo-US ties: Barack Obama farewell call to PM Narendra Modi

WASHINGTON: US president Barack Obama is going to leave White House tomorrow as Donald Trump would be taking oath on Friday January 20.
Outgoing US President Barack Obama on Wednesday made farewell telephone call to the leader of India, the White House said.
During his conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Obama expressed gratitude for his partnership, and congratulated him on India’s upcoming 68th Republic Day anniversary, Associated Press reported.
The two leaders also recalled joint efforts of cooperation, including defense, civil nuclear energy and climate change among other matters of importance.
