In a new low for Indian Military, Army Commander threatens Kashmiri women

SRINAGAR – In a new low for Indian Military, Army Commander threatens Kashmiri women after the Pulwama Attack.

Following the Pulwama attack that killed 44 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers, Indian army officer Lt General Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon on Tuesday has threatened Kashmiri women to tell their sons to drop guns or they will be killed.

During a press conference in Srinagar, the officer claimed to have killed Pulawama attack masterminds within 100 hours of the incident.

On the other hand, in occupied Kashmir, a complete shutdown is being observed in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district against the killings during a cordon and search operation by Indian troops in Pinglina village of district.

All business establishments, private institutions are closed while public transport is off the roads in the area. ------------------------------

At least 44 Indian paramilitary soldiers were killed on Thursday in Indian-occupied Kashmir in one the deadliest attacks. The attack saw explosives packed inside a van rip through buses in a convoy of 78 vehicles carrying some 2,500 members of the paramilitary CRPF.

Two blue buses carrying around 35 people each bore the brunt of the massive blast, heard miles away, around 20 kilometres (12 miles) from the city of Srinagar on the main highway to Jammu.

Kashmir has been divided between India and Pakistan since independence. Rebels have been fighting for an independent Kashmir, or a merger with Pakistan, for 30 years.
