*ISLAMABAD: PTI chief Imran Khan’s new wife has decided to stay away from politics and will not take part in PTI meetings or rallies. *
According to details revealed by sources from within the party, Bushra Bibi’s children will stay with their father while she takes up residence at Bani Gala with the cricketer-turned-politician.
Bushra Bibi will continue to remain at Bani Gala and will live a private life away from the public glare.
Former PTI General Secretary Jahangir Tareen said that Imran Khan’s decision to marry was a private affair and wished the couple a happy life.
“I would advise opponents not to indulge in politics when it comes to Khan’s marriage,” said Tareen.
Jahangir Tareen also refuted claims made by a journalist that Imran Khan’s marriage had taken place earlier. The senior PTI leader said that Imran had married on Sunday evening and said that it was really unfortunate that some people were criticising Imran on an issue that was entirely personal.
Meanwhile, senior PTI leader Naeem Bokhari reacted to the marriage by stating that love was not bound by virus.
Rumours finally died down about the third wedding of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday as the party confirmed that the PTI chief had married Bushra Manika.
PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry, while speaking to Samaa, confirmed that Khan’s nikah was solemnised today by Mufti Saeed, a member of PTI core committee.
Mufti Saeed was also the nikah khawan when Imran publicly entered into marriage with Reham Khan on January 8, 2015 amid reports of secret nikah in November 2014.
Fawad Chaudhry further said that the PTI chief tied the knot in an intimate and simple ceremony, adding that details about Valima would be announced later.
