SC gave Sharif family too much relaxation: Aitzaz Ahsan

ISLAMABAD: PPP Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said that the Supreme Court has given the Sharif family too much relaxation.
Talking to the media outside Lahore High Court on Monday, he said that the Hudaibya case is a criminal case and such cases are not time barred.
“The Qatari letter and Calibri font were based on a lie. ‘Iqama’ is a serious crime. Money is kept in foreign secret banks through ‘Iqamas’,” he said.
The PPP senator said that SC verdict on the Hudaibya case is beyond understanding. “There is no relaxation in a criminal case. The SC has been lenient towards the Sharif family,” he added.
Aitzaz Ahsan said that the cases of Nawaz Sharif and Jahangir Tareen are different. “Jahagir Tareen gave the money trail, but Nawaz Sharif did not present anything in court,” he added.
He said that all ministers have ‘Iqamas’. “The people will recognize courts through their verdict,” he concluded.
