China Radio launches Dosti Channel FM 98 in Pakistan

China Radio International (CRI) has launched Dosti Channel FM 98 in Pakistan in collaboration with Radio Pakistan.
A colorful ceremony was held in Islamabad on Monday evening to launch the transmission.

Director General Radio Pakistan Khurshid Ahmed Malik and Vice President CRI, Hu Bengsheng signed an agreement in this regard on this occasion.
In his address, Khurshid Malik said the initiative will strengthen and broaden cooperation between CRI and Radio Pakistan. He said cultural ties between Pakistan and China will also boost because of this channel. He hoped that collaboration between CRI and Radio Pakistan will further expand in times ahead.
Deputy Chief of Mission at the Chinese Embassy Zhao Lijian said Dosti channel will play a key role in strengthening relations between the two countries.
Pakistan-China IT industrial park signed
He said Dosti channel will broadcast six hours Urdu broadcast daily for its Pakistani listeners enhancing people to people contact between Pakistan and China.
He said launch of this channel will build new heights of cooperation between Radio Pakistan and CRI.
Cake cutting ceremony was also held on the occasion to mark launching of Dosti Channel.
