There is no undue interference of Pakistan Army in Government affairs: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that military has ruled for 40 years in Pakistan and indirectly affected governments while now it is wrong perception that Army and government have competition for the acquisition of powers. In an interview to a British media outlet,Asif said that those people who are talking about military interference in civil matters they should see today in context of what happened in the past. Asif further added that he will raise his voice when military interfere occurs in civil matters. Asif said that government respects all institutions, whether judiciary, media or the Army, playing roles in achieving national targets. He stated that there is no undue interference of Pakistan Army in Government affairs and such rumours would die after the transfer of power from one civilian government to another.
