Govt taking steps to maintain law & order situation during Ashura: Raja Basharat August 19, 2020

ISLAMABAD- Punjab Law Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja has said the government is taking comprehensive measures to ensure peace and maintain law and order situation during Ashura-e-Muharram.
While addressing a meeting of the cabinet subcommittee on law and order situation in Dera Ghazi Khan through Video Link, he directed the divisional administration of Dera Ghazi Khan to make foolproof security arrangements for a peaceful environment during Muharram.
The meeting was told that religious harmony prevails in the region and ulemas of various sects have been taken on board to maintain brotherhood during the Ashura days.
Addressing the meeting Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Hanif Pitafi said that corona SOPs should be strictly observed during the processions and Majalis.
