Remote control bomb blast in Dera Bugti: Report

DERA BUGTI: Three minors were injured after a remote-controlled bomb exploded in Dera Bugti on Tuesday, said sources in the Levies force.

Security forces cordoned off the area after the explosion.

The bomb was installed on a road near Pathar Nala, informed Levies sources.

Earlier this month, on April 9, at least five people were wounded in a suicide attack on a Frontier Corps (FC) check-post in Quetta. The suicide attacker had targetted the security check-post in Buleli area of the provincial capital, according to DG Civil Defence Aslam Tareen and FC sources.

The suicide attacker was aged between 20 and 22, Tareen said, adding that 8-10kg explosive material was used to carry out the blast.

The wounded persons had included four paramilitary personnel and a civilian. A large contingent of police and FC had rushed to the site immediately after the blast and sealed the entire vicinity.

Chief Minister Balochistan Abdul Quddus Bizenjo had denounced the attack on Buleli check-post and directed concerned authorities to ensure provision of best medical treatment to the wounded persons.
