PTV Parliament: A new TV Channel to be launched by government

ISLAMABAD- A meeting of National Assembly Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting was held in Islamabad on Thursday with Pir Aslam Bodla in the chair.
The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb told the participants that the law allows channels to broadcast ten percent foreign content.
The Secretary Information informed the Committee that a new channel 'PTV Parliament' would be launched and project has been included in next year's development programme.
Members of the Committee emphasized that national culture and values should be highlighted in children's programmes.
