Italy, Greece to launch plan to identify missing migrants
Italy, Greece, Malta and Cyprus are launching an initiative in June to identify thousands of migrants who died or went missing while crossing the sea to the continent.
International Commission on Missing Persons said cooperation between these states will help track survivors and locate bodies.
It said almost eighteen thousand migrants arrived in Europe by sea since beginning of this year.
The four Mediterranean countries have been severely hit by waves of migrants form Syria, Libya and Africa. APP/AFP
