COAS statement on eradicating corruption raises alarm bells across country 




KOHAT: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif made it clear that peace and stability in Pakistan is linked with eradication of corruption and indiscriminate accountability is necessary for the integrity and progress of Pakistan.

 

According to ISPR, Army Chief visited signal regimental center Kohat here at Tuesday and addressed Army troops during his visit. General Raheel said that lasting peace and stability is not possible without the rooting out scourge of corruption from the country.

 

He added that accountability is necessary at all levels for prosperity and stability in the country. Pak Army would fully cooperate for the elimination of corruption. War against terrorism and extremism is being fought with the support of nation.

 

Indiscriminate accountability would secure the future of our next generations, Army Chief elaborated, stating that Pak Army would fully support every meaningful efforts for the betterment of our generations.

 

Army Chief also hinged the badges of Colonel Commandant Signal to Maj. Gen. Ahmad Zaidi. He also paid visit to monument of martyrs and laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha.
