Aasiya Andrabi takes CM Occupied Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti to task
ISLAMABAD: The Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM), Aasiya Andrabi has termed the puppet administration's demand for more Indian troops as shameless saying that there are already hundreds of thousands of Indian soldiers present in the territory to kill the people.
Aasiya Andrabi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that instead of feeling the pain of the people, the puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, had requisitioned more troops from India as if the already present personnel of armed forces were not enough to kill the Kashmiri Muslims, KMS reported.
She said that people had been caged, youth detained and internet facilities snapped in the territory.
Aasiya Andrabi lauded people's response with Valley-wide protests to the appeal of the puppet chief minister for peace. "This proved that nobody trusts her crocodile tears," she maintained.
The DeM chief stressed the need for formulation of a long-term strategy to protect the sacrifices of the Kashmiri youth, on one hand, and to tackle the human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian forces in Kashmir, on the other.
"The time is ripe because the world has started giving attention to the Kashmir and the recent OIC resolution is also very encouraging. Our leadership should look at developing a proactive long-term strategy to represent the aspirations of the people," she said.
Condemning the imposition of continued curfew and other restrictions in Kupwara and Handwara, Aasiya Andrabi said that an emergency was enforced across the Valley after the Kupwara incidents. "But these tactics have failed in the past and will fail in future as well," she said.
