Pakistani politically exposed person arrest: New developments surface in London

LONDON - Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA) released a former assistant commissioner and close aide to late Pakistan Peoples Party’s Makhdoom Amin Fahim, and his wife for their involvement in money laundering in United Kingdom.

According to NCA, Farhan Junejo and his wife were released after a brief arrest. Junejo and his wife are accused of controlling a UK property portfolio worth more than RS1.2billion for which they appear to have no legitimate source of income.

Before their release, the agency said in an official statement that they had been supported in their investigation by the National Accountability Bureau and the Federal Investigation Agency.
