Beijing: Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned the Israeli airstrike on a Gaza hospital as a "major catastrophe."According to international news agencies, Vladimir Putin stated in his address that the bombing of the hospital resulted in numerous casualties, emphasizing the need to resolve the issue through negotiations.
Putin expressed that the hospital bombing was a distressing scene, causing the deaths of scores of people and injuring hundreds, describing it as a major disaster.
He added that he hopes this incident will serve as a signal to end the conflict as soon as possible, highlighting the necessity of focusing on negotiations and diplomacy.
These remarks were made by the Russian President during a media conversation following his meeting with Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.
The Israeli airstrike on a Gaza hospital, which took place on a night between Tuesday and Wednesday, resulted in at least 500 Palestinian casualties and numerous injuries. Israel has also attributed the attack to a jihadist organization.
Russia has good relations with Iran, Hamas, and other Arab countries, while also supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, a stance that the United States and Western nations have overlooked.
