TTP terrorists launching attacks in Pakistan from Afghanistan, admits top US official

WASHINGTON – Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for the State Department Henry S. Ensher has spoken over the issue of Pakistan US ties in perspective of Afghanistan.
US top official said that pressure will continue to be put on Pakistan until it changes its policy towards regional peace and stability in Afghanistan.
US official termed mutual ties with Pakistan as important, adding that status quo in Afghanistan is not suitable for Pakistan.
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) uses Afghan territory as a platform for attacks in Pakistan, he opined.
He further encouraged bilateral negotiations between Pakistan and India to reduce the tensions and to resolve disputes including Kashmir issue.
