International conference on mining in Karachi

KARACHI: Geology department of Federal Urdu University for Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) in collaboration with Pakistan Council for Science and Technology will hold a three day international conference on Mining and Fuel Industries here from October 19 to 21.
Chief organizer of the moot Prof. Dr. Waqar Hussain along with Chairperson, Geology department, Prof. Dr. Seema Naz Siddiqui and organizing secretary of the event sohail Anjum in a joint statement here Tuesday said the conference will be attended by geologists from Turkey, Bangladesh, China, Malaysia, Nigeria and Sri Lanka besides experts from across the country.
They also thanked The Society of Economic Geologists and Mineral Technologists, Dumlupinar University of Turkey and Sindh department of Mines and Mineral development for their assistance in holding the moot.
Sindh Secretary for Mines and Mineral Development, Shams Soomro will open the moot on Thursday with Prof. Dr. Cem Sensogut and Chief Inspector of Mines, Engineer Syed Irshad A Gillani as the keynote speakers on the occasion.
