Indian Army to intensify military operations in occupied Kashmir: Army Chief

Srinagar: Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat arrived here on Wednesday to review the security situation in the Kashmir Valley, Zee News has reported.

The General was received by Lt General D Anbu, the Northern Army Commander, and Chinar Corps Commander Lt General JS Sandhu. 

"The Army Chief addressed all officers at the Badami Bagh cantonment here and complimented them for providing excellent military leadership in the most challenging circumstances and asked to intensify the military operations against militants.

"He also commended all ranks for their relentless pursuit towards achieving the objective of bringing peace and normalcy to the Valley," Defence Ministry spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said.
