In Occupied Kashmir, Complete shutdown is being observed against unabated incidents of braid chopping of women and girls. The agitated people thrashed three Indian soldiers, who were believed to be braid choppers, and set their vehicle on fire in Ganderbal district. In Kangan town, shopkeepers closed their business while youth took to streets and pelted forces with stones. A fresh braid chopping incident was reported at Beehama in Ganderbal district. Similar incident took place in Kralpora area of Kupwara district when locals caught hold of a soldier soon after braid chopping of a woman in the area.
