Pakistani wicketkeeper Batsman Kamran Akmal makes historic achievemnet

ISLAMABAD - Pakistani wicket keeper batsman Kamran Akmal became the first Asian wicketkeeper to complete 900 dismissals after that Kamran Akmal has reached yet another milestone during the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam trophy (QeA).

The right-handed batsman reached the 13,000 runs milestone after hitting his 63rd half-century in first-class cricket.

Kamran Akmal reached the milestone in his 372nd first-class innings at an average of 38.40. The hard-hitting batsman also has 32 centuries with the best score of 275 runs.

Despite impressive performances, Kamran Akmal has been looked over by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for selection.

Experts believe that Kamran Akmal should have been the natural replacement for Sarfaraz Ahmed in the T20 format. However, PCB went with Mohammad Rizwan as the keeper for all formats.

It remains to be seen whether Kamran Akmal will get a second chance or will he also be limited to playing Pakistan domestic cricket.
