16 teams formed to prepare new Lahore Master Plan

Lahore Development Authority and Urban Unit have formed sixteen joint teams for preparation of a new Lahore Master Plan and coordinated Commercialization Policy to control illegal constructions in the areas under LDA control.
According to an LDA spokesman, a new survey has been launched with cooperation of Urban Unit for preparation of new Lahore Master Plan as the current city plan will expire in 2021.
He said the area under LDA control has now been extended to the whole Lahore Division and changes in construction rules and regulations are need of hour to meet the new challenges.
