RAWALPINDI (APP): Turkish Chief of General Staff (CGS), General Hulusi Akar, on Thursday called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Rashad Mahmood at the Joint Staff Headquarters.
Pakistan Turkey to further solidify defence ties
The meeting, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) was also attended by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman.
Matters of mutual interest with emphasis on geo-strategic situation and security challenges came under discussion during the meeting.
The both sides reaffirmed the resolve to further the bonds of friendship and enhance bilateral cooperation between the two armed forces.
Turkey stands with Pakistan for Kashmir right of self determination
The visiting dignitary lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in fight against terrorism.
The Turkish CGS was on an official visit to Pakistan.
