Pak Army martyrs hailed by PM Nawaz Sharif
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said the valiant soldiers of Pakistan Army had always rendered invaluable sacrifices for the nation and would also succeed in the war against terrorism.
"Asfandyar and the jawans of Pakistan Army are the saviors of the country," the Prime Minister said, paying tribute to Captain Asfandyar, who lost his life during an operation against terrorists in Badaber camp Peshawar last year.
Capt. Asfandyar was leading his troops from the front during the operation. "Such parents deserve honour and respect whose children sacrifice their lives while bravely fighting the enemy", the Prime Minister said.
Dr Fayyaz Bukhari in his comments after meeting the Prime Minister said he was a proud father of the son who was martyred while saving the lives of his fellow officers and hundreds of people residing at the Pakistan Air Force colony.
He lauded the decision of the Prime Minister for renaming the District Headquarters Hospital, Attock as Captain Asfandyar Bukhari Shaheed Hospital.
He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for acknowledging the sacrifice of his son and said it was good to know that the Prime Minister was well-aware about Captain Asfandyar.
"The Prime Minister has honoured us for being the family of the Shaheed. We pray that may Allah bestow on him honor and respect," he said.
