ISLAMABAD: (APP) Electronic Crime Bill, 2016 presented in Senate of Pakistan
The Senate on Tuesday refereed Prevention of Electronic Crimes Bill, 2016 to the concerned Standing Committee.
Minister of State for Information and Technology and Telecommunication moved the bill to make provisions for prevention of electronic crimes (the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Bill,2016).
Leader of the Opposition Aitzaz Ahsan requested that the bill should be sent to Standing Committee on Human Rights as many clauses were related to human rights.
On this, Chairman Senate requested the Leader of the House, Raja Zafarul Haq that members of the Human Rights committee should be invited for their valuable input.
It is to be mentioned that National Assembly had already passed the bill.
