China lodges strong protest with US over signing of "Taiwan Travel Act"

BEIJING: China has lodged stern representations with the United States over the signing of "Taiwan Travel Act" by President Donald Trump into law.
This was stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lu Kang's in a statement in Beijing.
He said Beijing is firmly opposed to the US legislation as it severely violates one-China principle and the three joint communiqués between China and the United States.
The spokesperson urged the United States to stop pursuing any official ties or improving its current relations with Taiwan in any way. APP/AFP
