KPK Police to observe Yum-e-Shuhadda Police: IGP

PESHAWAR: (APP) Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has approved observance of Yume-e-Shuhadda police on August 4.
The decision in this connection was taken in a meeting of the organizing committee of Yum-e-Shuhadda police held at Central Police Office on Sunday with Additional IGP Headquarters Mian Muhammad Asif in the chair.
Additional IGP Commandant Elite Force Tariq Javed, Additional IGP Special Branch Salahuddin Mehsood, Additional IGP Operation Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan, Additional IGP Investigation Dr. Ishtiaq Marwat, Commandant FRP Shehzad Aslam Siddique, DIG Headquarters Muhammad Alam Shinwari, DIG Investigation Headquarters Dr. Masood Saleem, AIG Establishment Najeeb-ur-Rahman Bagvi, Commandant PTC Hangu Fasih-ud-Din, DIG Kohat Awal Khan, SP Coordination Hashmat Kamal, AIG Legal Falak Nawaz Khan and Director Information Technology Naveed Gul attended the meeting.
As per schedule Quran Khwani will be held in all major Masajid of the province especially at Regional Police Headquarters. DPOs with police contingents will visit the graves of Shuhada on the morning of August 4 and salute will be paid to the shuhadda.
Police contingents will visit the houses of Police Shuhada and meet with their families. On this occasion gifts and followers will also be presented to them. Blood donor camps will also be arranged in all district headquarters hospitals at Regional level in which contingents of at least 100 officers and jawans will donate blood.
For this camp a suitable and prime location in the hospitals will be selected and coverage on print and electronic media will also be ensured. Speeches competition will be held in all Police Training Schools and PTC Hangu.
Position holders will be invited to CPO to select overall 1st position holder who will be awarded with prize and cash reward on the main ceremony of the day at Peshawar.
Main function of this day will be held in Nishtar Hall Peshawar in collaboration with Khyber TV in which representatives from all walks of life including celebrities, heroes from hall of fame and elected persons will be invited.
Variety of programme will be finalized for this function with the approval of the IGP in consultation with the authorities of Khyber TV. National and local newspapers will be requested to carry special supplements on this day. To enhance the scope of this event, business concerns and organizations, NGOs, Civil Society, print and electronic media will also be associated.
In this function, a rich tribute will also be paid to Shuhada and brave Ghazis of KP police.
In order to commemorate the occasion and to invite the attention of the public, posters, banners, pamphlets the portraits of Shuhada and Ghazi's etc will be displayed at all major and prominent places besides getting messages for the day from dignitaries and celebrities.
Additional IGP Headquarters will be the chief organizer for the arrangement of Yume-e-Shuhada police. Senior Police Officer from CPO and CCPO Peshawar, SSP operations Peshawar and SSP Coordination Peshawar will be the member of the organizing committee. Officers will be entrusted with the specific responsibilities separately.
